[Gaming Cases] ROG Hyperion GR701 gaming case fan (front/rear) disassembly and assembly instructions

Preparation

a. Tool: Phillips screwdriver PH2

b. Fan Compatibility: (Preinstall fans information please refer to specification page of product)

Replace FAN
1. Remove left side panel.

Note: Please put the case on a flat table to prevent the side panel from falling during disassembly and assembly.

Please handle with care when disassembling and assembling the glass side panel to avoid collision/drop/heavy pressure.

Open side panel form magnetic latch and lift panel up to remove.

2. Release fan connectors from Fan hub and cable tie.

Remove fan connectors from fan hub.

Release cable ties. (The location as red circle mark in the picture)

3. Replace Fan

A. Replace Rear Fan

01. Release 2 screws of fan mount at rear of chassis and remove it from chassis.

02. Remove 4 screws, then replace the fan with a new one. (Please notice an direction when install)

03. install rear fan mount.

Align the hook of fan mount to notch of chassis then push mount back and tighten the mount screws at rear.

B. Replace Front Fan

01. Remove storage drawer and PSU cover.

a. release 2 screws at right side of chassis.

b. release 2 screws of storage drawer and remove it.

c. pull right PSU cover then remove it.

02. Release screws of fan mount then take fan mount out.

03. Release 4 screw of fan and replace with new one.

Note: Please notice the fan direction and should arrange fan cable into management groove when installing.

04. Put fan cable into cable management hole then put front fan mount back.

05. Install PSU cover and storage drawer back.

a. put PSU cover back (direction as picture a)

b. place storage drawer lock 2 screws of drawer.

c. tightens 2 of PSU cover screws.

4. Connect fan connector back to Fan hub.

5. Close side panel

Note: Please put the case on a flat table to prevent the side panel from falling during disassembly and assembly.

Please handle with care when disassembling and assembling the glass side panel to avoid collision/drop/heavy pressure.
