How do you select a flicker-free display?
You can simply test a display for flicker with your mobile phone.
Turn on video mode on your phone camera and point at the display.
Go to the monitor brightness setting and slowly lower it from 100% to 50%, and then to 0.
Rapidly move the phone horizontally in front of the screen and make snaps at different brightness levels.
The lines in the captured images are caused by display flicker.
