What I love about my ProArt Studiobook Pro 15 is that it's using a Quadro RTX Max-Q GPU. So basically it makes way-faster renders — in a matter of minutes — so in a day I can save hours of time.
“My advice for future creators would be to get out there, see the world for yourself,” says Timothy Rodriguez, Senior Concept Artist. And he knows what he's talking about, with a creative portfolio that includes Hollywood blockbusters like Star Wars, Jurassic World, and Aladdin.

Timothy demands equipment that not only performs superbly, but also has wide support for industry standards. See Timothy explain how he works with ASUS ProArt to create real movie magic!

Envisioning the magic
Envisioning the magic
Timothy Rodriguez is a French concept artist, based in the UK, who works in the film and video-game industries. "My job as a concept artist is to envision the director's idea," he explains, adding that this task involves designing visual elements such as environments, vehicle or characters for a film or video game. After studying graphic design for a couple of years followed by some time working as a freelancer, Timothy made the move to the world-renowned VFX and animation studio, Industrial Light and Magic.

“As a concept artist, the big challenges for me are to stay creative, and also to have a PC that's powerful enough to let me make a lot of renders quickly,” says Timothy, adding that technical specifications and standards play a large part in his equipment choices. “Collaborating with ASUS allows me to use industry-standard equipment.”

He loves the fact that his ProArt monitor PA278QV is pre-calibrated for color accuracy, and its selectable color profiles allow him to work on different projects. Timothy can also easily match colors between his ProArt monitor and Studiobook W500G5T laptop. Performance is critical, too, he says. “What I love about my ProArt Studiobook Pro 15 is that it's using a Quadro RTX Max-Q GPU. So basically it makes way-faster renders — in a matter of minutes, so in a day I can save hours of time. And it has 48 GB of RAM which allows me to jump back and forth between different tasks. This is also a really compact laptop, which is ideal if I want to go into meeting and show to clients.”

Asked for advice for budding creators, Timothy replies: “My advice for future creators would be to get out there, see the world for yourself, experience things like cut-offs, lights and patterns in nature. And just find something that resonates with you, something that makes you want to create. And if you are a creator, create with ASUS ProArt.”
