ASUS teams up with Juan Toscano Anderson to bring the Christmas spirit to families in Los Angeles County
Fremont, California - December 22, 2022 - ASUS is proud to join forces with NBA Champion and Los
Angeles Laker forward Juan Toscano Anderson to provide resources and technology
to families in need during the holidays. On December 17, Juan visited 10
families selected by Project Blue, an organization established in and
throughout the Watts Development Housing Projects, to bring resources to the
youth in the area in partnership with LAPD and several professional sports teams, including the LA Lakers.
“I’m excited to team up with ASUS this holiday season to bring the Christmas spirit to families in the Los Angeles Community,” says Juan Toscano-Anderson. Since 2008, ASUS has aimed to create infinite possibilities for the world and to drive digital equality and inclusion by providing donations of computers, establishing digital
learning centers, digital training programs and international volunteer programs
to enable information equity for all.
Together with Juan, ASUS provided each family with young
students their own ASUS Chromebook C223. The 12-inch portable Chromebook can be
carried anywhere, keeping kids connected so they can access online educational resources
with the flexibility to watch online entertainment such as basketball games
with their favorite basketball star. ASUS also provided a ROG x Spalding basketball
autographed by Juan to each family to encourage daily exercise and a positive
active lifestyle.
