ASUS Republic of Gamers Enters Partnership with UCLA Esports & Gaming
LOS ANGELES, Calif.- Oct. 25, 2023 - ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) and UCLA Esports & Gaming are excited to announce a partnership which will bring ASUS ROG’s full lineup of computers, monitors and peripherals to the UCLA campus. Under the partnership, UCLA Esports will be outfitted with ROG’s esports-grade products for all practices, competitions, events, and tournaments. The partnership brings together UCLA Esports, one of the most recognizable collegiate brands, and ASUS Republic of Gamers, a leading presence in the competitive-gaming industry.

UCLA Esports & Gaming is a multi-faceted student program housed in UCLA Recreation. Competing in League of Legends, Overwatch 2, VALORANT, Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers Melee & Ultimate, Dota2, Teamfight Tactics, and Omega Strikers, the program also hosts social gaming events and multidisciplinary classes and workshops. In recent years, the esports team has welcomed high ranking players such as Collin “wsps” Grogan who currently plays Overwatch 2 for the Los Angeles Valiant Guardians, and has led collegiate esports and gaming development in the state of California. This includes playing leading roles in the development of the University of California Esports Initiative, the Big Esports Conference, and hosting high school and collegiate competitions in the greater Los Angeles region.
