ASUS Launches All-New ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582)

Fremont, California (June 15, 2021) - ASUS today launched the all-new ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582), a high-performance 15.6-inch laptop that introduces the new tilting ASUS ScreenPad™ Plus, a full-width 14" secondary touchscreen that works seamlessly with the main 4K OLED HDR NanoEdge touchscreen for effortless multitasking.

Evolving the original groundbreaking design, the new tilting ScreenPad Plus incorporates an auto-tilt mechanism that automatically raises the rear of the secondary display by 9.5° for improved readability. The upgraded ScreenXpert 2 software introduces powerful new features, including the Control Panel app that revolutionize creative workflows.

ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED delivers performance with up to a 10th Generation Intel® Core™ i9 processor. This massive CPU power is combined with the latest professional-level NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 discrete graphics to make light work of demanding creative tasks. For optimum thermal performance, the new Active Aerodynamic System Plus (AAS Plus) uses the ErgoLift hinge mechanism and tilting ScreenPad Plus to increase overall cooling airflow by 36%.

For easy connections to peripherals, ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED has comprehensive high-performance I/O capabilities including two ultrafast Thunderbolt™ 3 USB-C® ports supporting up to 40 Gbps data-transfer rates along with Power Delivery and DisplayPort functionality.

Two seamless displays

ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED introduces a new tilting ScreenPad Plus design that adds a new dimension to on-the-go computing. This 14-inch full-width secondary high-definition touchscreen automatically tilts upwards by 9.5°, reducing glare and reflections for improved readability, and it also has an improved 400-nit brightness. ScreenPad Plus makes working with the ultra-vivid 15.6-inch 4K OLED HDR NanoEdge display even more seamless, with endless ways to optimize and personalize workflows. The tilted display is held at a stylus-friendly angle, and both displays fully support the bundled 4096-pressure-level ASUS Pen active stylus. A bundled palm rest and ASUS ErgoLift Stand enhance the typing and reading experience even further.

The upgraded Screen Xpert 2 software that powers ScreenPad Plus includes a collection of new and updated built-in apps to help boost productivity, such as the new Window Flick feature that allows users to simply flick windows between displays. The popular Task Group app has an updated design, so users can see their Task Groups at a glance, and lock into work modes instantly by launching multiple apps with a single tap.

ScreenXpert 2 also premieres the exciting new Control Panel, a fully-customizable app that will revolutionize creative workflows. Control Panels gives the user precise and intuitive control in creative apps, with intuitive controls for adjusting brush size, saturation, layer opacity, and much more. Four types of control — Dial, Button, Slider, and Scroll — each work in a different way to give precise and smooth control over parameters. Control Panel currently works with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, Premiere Pro and After Effects, and more compatible apps will be announced in the near future.

This professional-grade GPU features new Ray Tracing Cores, Tensor Cores and streaming multiprocessors that deliver massively improved performance, with advanced RTX features like hardware-accelerated ray tracing ensure stunning visuals, while exclusive AI assistance helps with repetitive tasks for faster content creation.

ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is engineered with the new AAS Plus thermal design. This leverages the space created under the laptop by the ErgoLift hinge mechanism and the chassis opening created by the tilting ScreenPad Plus to increase overall cooling airflow by 36%. This in turn allows an optimum internal temperature to be maintained for maximum performance. Inside, there's a powerful dual-fan setup with six heat pipes for efficient heat dissipation. Combined with other innovative measures like liquid-metal thermal compound on the CPU, AAS Plus allows ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED to sustain incredible performance, no matter how demanding the workload.
