Q. What’s the ETA for the BIOS with the new microcode patch (0x129)?
A: The new BIOS has been uploaded into ASUS Official website, you can download it now. The new BIOS has include Intel microcode 0x129 and adjust the factory default settings, even for non-K processors (the K series were already included in previous versions), enhancing stability for Intel Core 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors.

Q. Where can I find the Intel Default Settings? And how do I enable them?
A: Starting with the BIOS updates released on May 31, 2024, for ASUS 700 & 600 series motherboards, a new "Performance Preferences" feature was introduced. This feature includes options for Intel Default Settings (Performance/Extreme) and the ASUS Advanced OC Profile. The BIOS now automatically applies the Intel Default Settings as the factory default for various CPU models, so no manual configuration is necessary.
 

Q. Should I apply the Intel Default Settings for my non-K processor?
A: Yes, Intel recommends applying the Intel Default Settings even for non-K processors (the K series were already included in previous BIOS versions). All our new BIOS versions released in August 2024 now include these as the factory default settings, ensuring decent performance and stability for your system.
