[NUC] Identify Devices with Errors in Device Manager for the NUC

What are you seeing?

Device Manager shows one or more errors (Yellow bangs) in the list of devices.  Errors in Device Manager usually occur if:

• There is a missing driver that needs to be installed or
• A driver isn't working properly.

To identify the device that needs a driver:

1. Press the Windows Key and X keys together and select Device Manager.
2. Double-click the device with the error (a question mark or exclamation point) and select Properties.
3. See example of Yellow Bang on PCI Device below:

1. Go to the Details tab and select Hardware IDs.
2. The vendor ID and device ID display as VEN_xxxx&DEV_xxxx. (Some devices show these values as VID_xxxx&PID_xxxx) 
    

1. Once you know your Vender and Device ID, refer to the Device Tables section below and find the section labeled for your NUC Model. That link will take you to a table of hardware IDs associated with that NUC as well as the following:
   • The driver you need to download and how
   • Device Manager Category (where the device should appear)
   • Device Description
