[NUC] How to Fix Error Code "Can't access share drive with the Error Code: 0x80004005" when Accessing a NAS Drive with the NUC Kit NUC8i5BEK

Resolution

Error 0x80004005 is related to the operating system configuration.

Follow the steps below to resolve:

Set the system to either use IPV6 or IPV4 depending on your network setup.
Reset Windows* Sockets.
1. Click the Windows Start Button.
2. Type CMD.
3. Click Run as Administrator under the Command Prompt result.
4. Type netsh winsock reset.

Make sure SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support is enabled in Windows Features.

If the issue persists, we recommend checking with Microsoft support for help with the configuration.
