[Chromebox] FAQ for Chrome Licenses
Chrome Enterprise Upgrade license: (for Chromebox standalone)
To manage standalone devices running Chrome OS from the Google Admin console, you need to order the Chrome Enterprise Upgrade service and purchase an upgrade for each device that you want to manage.

Google Meet license:
To enroll enterprise account for meetings mode, you could use/purchase Google Workspace to get Google Meet License. If your organization does not use Google Workspace, Please refer to https://support.google.com/meethardware/answer/6094478?hl=en

Troubleshooting:
Q1. How to enable meetings mode if using a Chromebox i7 standalone?
1. Turn on your device.
2. Connect a USB keyboard to the Chromebox for meetings.
If you connect a USB keyboard to the Google Meet hardware, the virtual keyboard will not appear on the touchscreen.
3. Press Ctrl+Alt+H to put the device in Chromebox for meetings mode.
4. Enroll your enterprise account.
If your device was previously enrolled, you can wipe the device to return it to its original (factory) state and then enroll it again. For details, see Wipe Chrome device data.

Q2. Help customer to check how many device licenses they have.
1. Sign in to customer’s Google Admin console. Must sign in using an administrator account.
2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Billing, you could see what kind of licenses they have:
a). Take our G-Suite account for example.

3. If customer’s account have no any Google meet licenses, they can’t enroll CN65 meetings mode.
Q3. If customer cannot enroll meetings mode when the license is used up?
1. Sign in to customer’s Google Admin console. Sign in using an administrator account.
2. From the Admin console Home page, go to Devices > Google meeting room hardware.
3. Verify the number of licenses in your domain.
Take our G-Suite account for example.

4. If license exhausted, please help to deprovision devices and set a device to pending.
5. From the Admin console Home page, go to Devices > Google meeting room hardware.
6. To select one or more provisioned devices from the list, click the device item as follows:
a). Select provisioned device

b). Click DEPROVISION on the left side:

c). To DEPROVISION this device:

d). Click SET TO PENDING on the left side:

e). Set this device to pending:

f). Confirm the status changed to Pending.

7. Re-enroll CN65 meeting mode.
