How to connect to OpenVPN Server with my device?(For Windows)

To install OpenVPN client on your Windows based client device :

Step1. Install OpenVPN software

         (1). Download and install OpenVPN software. Please go to below link to download installing software.

               OpenVPN installer (Non-Asus software)

         (2). Double click OpenVPN software to install program

Step2. Copy connecting config file(.ovpn file) to the OpenVPN folder [VPN] How to set up a VPN server on ASUS router – OpenVPN

         (1). Open C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config folder (the path is depending on where the OpenVPN software installed on)

         (2). Copy the client.ovpn file exporting from OpenVPN server of ASUS router to [config] folder.

Step3. Connect VPN Server

         (1). Right click the [OpenVPN icon] on the desktop and click [Run as administrator].

         (2). OpenVPN GUI will show up on the windows task list. Right click the icon and click [Connect]

         (3). Enter Username and Password for authentication

         (4). You can see the icon if connecting successfully.
