[Healthcare system] How to perform electrocardiogram measurements on ASUS VivoWatch 6 AERO
(1) How to Conduct an Electrocardiogram (ECG) Examination with ASUS VivoWatch
The electrical sensor within ASUS VivoWatch employs technology capable of recording electro-physiological activity. Each ASUS VivoWatch has a set of electrodes that correspond to this sensor. When fingers and wrists simultaneously contact these electrodes, forming an electrical loop, the device can measure the heart's electrical activity to generate an ECG.
(2) Achieving Optimal ECG Results
Make sure both the ASUS VivoWatch and your wrist are clean and dry. Rest your arm on a table or your lap and lightly touch the sensor on the ASUS VivoWatch 6 AERO with your index finger. Maintain a relaxed posture, ensuring the watch's back adheres snugly to your wrist, and steer clear of electrified electronic devices to prevent electromagnetic interference.
(3) Displaying ECG Records on HealthConnect
ECG readings captured by the ASUS VivoWatch are stored within the "ECG" feature of ASUS HealthConnect.
1. Launch the HealthConnect app.
2. Navigate to the "ECG" tab, where every active ECG measurement waveform is recorded.
3. Tap on an individual waveform to inspect the variations captured during that measurement.
(4) Sharing ECG Records with Healthcare Providers or Family Members
The ASUS VivoWatch 6 AERO can measure your ECG, and ASUS HealthConnect digitally archives the records. You can easily share ECG data with loved ones or healthcare providers to interpret atrial fibrillation (AFib) or sinus rhythm.
1. Launch the HealthConnect app.
2. Access the "ECG" tab, showcasing each active ECG measurement waveform.
3. Select an individual waveform and tap "Export" in the top right corner to generate a PDF for medical review.
(5) Is ECG Calibration Necessary?
ECG calibration is not required.
(6) Does ECG Support Background Measurement?
ECG does not support automated background measurement. It's recommended that this feature be utilized actively for individual measurements.
(7) Troubleshooting Incomplete ECG Measurements
1. Verify Wearability: Make sure the watch remains clean, dry, and properly adjusted.
2. Correct Measurement Procedure: During ECG measurement, make sure the watch back adheres securely to the wrist, with the index finger lightly touching the sensor. The electrical sensor should also maintain contact with the skin of the wrist and fingers. Relax and avoid movement or speech during the measurement process.
3. Moisturizing: Lightly moisten your fingers with water or moisturizer before attempting another measurement.
(8) Individuals Ineligible for ECG Usage
Individuals with known arrhythmias and those under 22 years old are ineligible for ECG functionality. Additionally, the displayed ECG data serve as a reference only and cannot substitute traditional diagnosis or medical treatment. Users must consult qualified physicians to interpret device output and take clinical measures accordingly.
