- Enable or disable QoS (Quality of server) by cases, QoS will deal great experiences improvement while Internet speed is limited. For example your Internet speed is lower than 100Mbps. However with high Internet bandwidth, QoS might cause the limitation of maximum speed.
All works fine but still expecting a greater performance? Find a better router!
Sometimes it’s not worth to troubleshoot an outdated router which uses outdated wireless technologies and has a very limited transmission power. Instead, buy a newer router instantly enjoy improved signal strength with faster download and upload speeds could be an even better offer.
You can refer to key factors below:
- What bandwidth plans you get from ISP? With bandwidth over 300Mbps, AC1750 or AX1800 above are recommended.
- How large is your home? For single room or 3 rooms apartment, a single powerful router might be good, but for a large house, multi-floors, Wi-Fi mesh should be a better choice.
