[LCD Monitor] PG27UQ & PG32UQX thermal module (fan) FAQ

Q1.Why does the PG27UQ & PG32UQXneed fan? And why do I think the LCD monitor sound is louder than a normal LCD monitor?

A1.The PG27UQ & PG32UQX is a high-performance LCD monitor, but it comes with the heat problem.
In order to improve it, then it is necessary to add a thermal module (fan).
ASUS has chosen the best solution for users, achieving the best balance between heat dissipation、performance and noise.

Q2.Why does the fan start to work when the power is turned on?

A2.Because the PG27UQ & PG32UQX has a Gsync module, the fan is linked with the Gsync module, which means when power-on, the system needs to be ready for any function enabled, so the fan will start to work after the power is turned on.

Q3.If replacing the fan, will it decrease the noise?

A3.Basically, it won’t, and ASUS’s design is better than other competitors.

Q4.Does the fan with different design have different RPM because of different user situation?

A4.Change the speed according to the loading of the system

User situation a)- After power-on and general word processing and watching movies (factory set minimum fan speed)

User situation b)- Under bright-light 600~1000nits and with Gsync and 144Hz for more than 1~2 hours usage, The fan speed will increase due to the increase in system temperature
