[External SSD] Customer Induced Damage (CID) criteria

ASUS does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of this Product. The warranty only covers technical hardware issues during the Warranty Period and in normal use conditions. If damage is caused by the following factors, warranty service will not be provided:

If damage is caused by the following scenarios (including but not limited to), your device will not be applicable for ASUS warranty service.

Outer Surface (Case) - Damage

Scratches on outer surface.

Cracks or breakage or dent on the outer surface.

Surface - Parts missing 

Device is disassembled and parts are missing, such as missing screws.

I/O port damage

Device received with visual evidence of damage to I/O board by forced insertion or removal of external plug-in device, such as M.2 connector or USB pin damage, pin crack, or broken.

   

Device with watermarks or water stains.

Device damage and has noticeable watermarks caused by liquid entering the device.

Damage caused by foreign object

Damage caused by foreign objects inside the device.

Components damaged, detached, or missing

The components/connectors on the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) of the device are damaged, detached, or missing.

 

SSD Damaged

Impact damage, deformation, or destruction to the SSD's circuit board, including the gold fingers or pins.
