SINGAPORE, January 12, 2024 — ASUS today announced the NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 40 SUPER series of graphics cards, consisting of the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. For users ready to upgrade to the latest and greatest in graphics performance, ASUS will offer this new suite of graphics cards for ROG, TUF Gaming, ProArt and more. In addition, ASUS will offer a Noctua Edition of the RTX 4080 SUPER for those who want the absolute quietest card on the block.

The new GeForce RTX SUPER GPUs are the ultimate way to experience AI on PCs. Specialized AI Tensor Cores deliver up to 836 AI TOPS to deliver transformative capabilities for AI in gaming, creating and everyday productivity. PC gamers demand the very best in visual quality, and AI-powered NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) Super Resolution, Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction combine with ray tracing to offer stunning worlds. With DLSS, seven out of eight pixels can be AI-generated, accelerating full ray tracing by up to 4X with better image quality.

Each of these GPUs offer a boost in performance over their predecessor, with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER also increasing the VRAM to 16 GB for high-resolution texture performance. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER now uses a 16-pin 12VHPWR power connector on the PCB, perfect for matching with the latest PSUs. And of course all of these cards are built using ASUS Auto-Extreme technology, which automates the manufacturing process so that all soldering can be completed in a single pass, reducing thermal strain and environmental impact for a product that will stand the test of time.

ROG Strix leads the pack with top-tier clock speeds and cooling
The ROG Strix series of graphics cards stands ready with best-in-class performance, bold ROG styling and top-tier cooling for high-powered rigs. These GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series cards use the same class-leading build as their non-SUPER brethren, albeit with the addition of a 16-pin 12VHPWR power connector on the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. Three Axial-tech fans keep the cards cool when under load, while the 0 dB mode kicks in to turn the fans off entirely when performing simpler tasks. The metal exoskeleton provides unparalleled rigidity, while the ASUS Dual BIOS switch allows users a simple choice between maximum performance and quieter operation.

Exclusive to Strix, the FanConnect II headers allow users to control up to two case fans based on their GPU’s temperature, for more fine-grained control over a build. And Aura Sync compatibility gives users room to customize the look of their card and synchronize its lighting with the rest of their system.

These are the cards ROG Strix is offering for the RTX 40 SUPER series. They will be available in the near future at local retailers and e-tailers.
TUF Gaming offers robust performance for gamers of all stripes
For a tried-and-true alternative, TUF Gaming cards give users high-end bang for their buck. Not only do they offer the same metal build, triple-fan cooling and large heatsinks of their Strix brethren, they also include extra features like the Dual BIOS switch that allows users to customize performance with the flick of a switch. While they don’t offer as much RGB or the FanConnect II headers, and the OC Editions sport slightly lower clock speeds, TUF cards provide excellent performance and long-lasting durability for high-end gaming builds. Users can find the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series of GPUs in these TUF Gaming cards. Keep an eye out for them at local retailers ― they will be arriving soon.
ProArt provides top-tier rendering power in sleek designs for creators
High-end graphics do not just benefit gamers — users will also find them in workstations around the globe, driving artificial intelligence, photo and video editing, game development, manufacturing and a whole lot more. A specialized crowd deserves a specialized line of cards, so ASUS built ProArt cards for creators and other professionals looking for something with a clean style and a compact profile, allowing them to fit into a PC with multiple expansion cards. ASUS still outfits them with its 11-blade Axial-tech fans, 0dB technology and vented backplate for excellent cooling ― all with a form factor that better fits the needs of today’s creators.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series will be available in the following ProArt cards. Look for them at local retailers in the coming months.
ASUS Dual cards supply excellent value in a compact form factor
For users looking for something even more compact — perhaps a small-form-factor build — ASUS Dual cards are a great choice. Featuring a retro-futuristic space-age design, these cards offer a unique look for any build, with a 2.56-slot heatsink for wide case compatibility (2.5-slot on the EVO edition). In addition, with multiple heat pipes and two Axial-tech fans, these cards offer excellent cooling performance in an accessible package for gamers and creators alike, no matter what case they are using.

ASUS is offering the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER in the following Dual variants. Watch for them at favorite retailers and e-tailers ― they will be arriving in the near future.
Pair a new card with the perfect power supply
If it has been a while since a user has upgraded their graphics card, they may also need a new power supply to go with it ― one that is capable of enough wattage to power a next-gen card (and the requisite power connectors). ASUS and ROG have a number of options to suit such a build, no matter which of the new graphics cards they choose.

Users going for the high-end GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER will want an equally capable power supply like the ROG Thor 1000W Platinum II. With premium components and incredible efficiency, it is one of the quietest power supplies in its class, offering all the power users need without extra noise. It also has an OLED display on the side to monitor power draw in real-time, along with Aura Sync support for a bit of extra RGB flair. Users looking for something a bit more affordable may want to pair the TUF Gaming 1000W Gold with the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER.

Users opting for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER should check out the ROG Thor 850W Platinum II, which offers the same high-end components, excellent efficiency and OLED display of its 1000-watt sibling mentioned above, just at a slightly lower wattage for some cost savings. ASUS also offers the TUF Gaming 850W Gold for users looking for something more straightforward.

Finally, while buyers of the 4070 SUPER do not require as much power, they will still want something that offers native 16-pin 12VHPWR support, so ASUS recommends the ROG Strix 750W Gold Aura Edition, which offers excellent power delivery in a stylish package. Users could also go with the TUF Gaming 750W Gold, or — depending on the aesthetics of a build — the ASUS Prime 750W Gold, which would look excellent with the ASUS Dual cards mentioned above.

Get the most from SUPER graphics cards with GPU Tweak III
To unleash the best performance these new graphics cards offer, ASUS is also releasing a new version of its GPU Tweak III software, with new features and updated tuning for the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series of GPUs. ASUS preset modes allow users to boost their card’s power or cut back on noise with a single click, and users can even set their own profiles on a game-by-game basis. The ASUS Mobile Monitor is one of the most exciting new features, though, allowing users to connect to GPU Tweak via their phone or other remote device to monitor their GPU without adding overlays on top of their gameplay. Just set a phone or tablet up on a stand next to a PC, connect to the GPU Tweak mobile monitor interface, and keep an eye on system stats without sacrificing immersion on-screen.

In addition, ASUS has made its Voltage-Frequency Tuner more user-friendly than ever, providing fine-grained control over the clock speed curve of a GPU. ASUS has also improved the on-screen display and the import and export functions, and it has added a built-in GPU-Z interface so users can get detailed GPU information without having to install GPU-Z separately. The latest GPU Tweak III improvements will be out soon, and users can download the program here.
