Singapore, September 3, 2019 —ASUS today announced three new TUF Gaming monitors with
ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) technology — VG32VQ, VG27AQ and VG27BQ.
ELMB Sync is an ASUS-exclusive, next-gen technology that enables the use of both motion-blur reduction and adaptive
sync in tandem, ensuring a crisp picture and smooth, judder-free animation and movement. For best results, an ELMB
Sync display should be combined with a graphics card capable of pushing around 85+ fps in favorite games. Since the
refresh rate of adaptive sync is variable, the effectiveness of the black-frame-insertion technique used by ELMB
Sync is dependent on the effective frame rate.
The new TUF Gaming monitor lineup offers three variations on this theme, with the 32-inch, curved TUF Gaming VG32VQ
and 27-inch, flat TUF Gaming VG27AQ and TUF Gaming VG27BQ. With refresh rates up to 165 Hz on the 27-inch models and
144 Hz on VG32VQ, each monitor comes with ELMB Sync, enabling a 1ms moving-picture response time (MPRT) while
eliminating tearing and keeping input lag low for sharp gaming visuals at high frame rates. These TUF Gaming
monitors are also compatible with the HDR10 standard for reproducing content with extended color and brightness
levels.
TUF Gaming VG32VQ
TUF Gaming VG32VQ features a 31.5-inch panel with a 16:9 widescreen ratio and 1800R curvature for a big, immersive
display that sticks with a standard aspect ratio for better compatibility with games.
VG32VQ boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and benefits from a panel that uses Vertical Alignment VA) LCD technology.
This offers excellent viewing angles and contrast ratio superior to TN variants. The FreeSync™ range can go from 48
Hz to 144 Hz, meaning gamers will experience the advantages of FreeSync with any graphics card that support a
sustained output of 48 fps — not a difficult task for today’s high-end and even mid-range GPUs.
TUF Gaming VG27AQ
TUF Gaming VG27AQ features a 27-inch IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution and G-SYNC Compatible certification, and it offers a balance between size and picture sharpness at a comfortable 109 pixels per inch. The IPS panel’s wide 178° viewing angle prevents col
