Singapore, May 20, 2021 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the availability of
the ROG Claymore II gaming keyboard and ROG Gladius III gaming mouse series. Introduced at CES® 2021, these cutting
edge peripherals are designed for superior in-game control and tactical advantage in online and esports gaming. Both
products won 2021 Red Dot awards in the Computer and Information Technology category.
ROG Claymore II gaming keyboard gives gamers exciting new ways to play, allowing them to create their ideal gaming
setup by placing the detachable numpad on either the side of tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard. Claymore II can be used in
wired or wireless mode, and includes customizable Aura Sync lighting that can be synchronized with other Aura
compatible components and peripherals.
ROG Gladius III and ROG Gladius III Wireless are ergonomic gaming mice that feature a 19,000 dpi optical sensor
(tuned to up to 26,000 dpi) for swift and precise cursor control with near zero latency. Each model features the
unique Push Fit Switch Socket II design that is compatible with both mechanical and Omron optical micro switches,
and offers instantaneous button actuation without unwanted clicks. In addition, the flexible ROG Paracord and
rounded edge 100% TPFE mouse feet ensure an ultra smooth glide. Aesthetically, the classic asymmetrical design of
these two gaming mice are well suited to a variety of right handed grip styles, and each features textured, non slip
side panels complete with laser engraved ROG markings and RGB lighting.
ROG Claymore II elite gaming keyboard
ROG Claymore II can be used as a standalone 80% TKL keyboard or as a 100% full size keyboard with the numpad on the
right or left, depending on individual preference. Compared to the previous model, Claymore II adopts a new slot in
design to give the detachable numpad a more secure and robust connection to the keyboard. It also includes
conveniences such as customizable keys, a volume control wheel, and a detachable wrist rest for more comfortable
typing.
ROG Claymore II can be specified with ROG RX Blue or RX Red optical mechanical switches. First seen in the ROG Strix
Scope RX gaming keyboard, these premium switches feature a hollow square stem design with embedded RGB LEDs to
provide all round, per key lighting compatible with wireless Aura Sync technology. The design also ensures near zero
debounce delay to ensure instantaneous activation the moment the key is pressed. The hollow square stem and X
stabilizer mechanism work in unison to provide consistent wobble free keystrokes and remarkable durability with up
to a 100 million keypress lifespan.
ROG Claymore II offers a 1 ms response time in both wired and wireless 2.4 GHz RF modes, with a bundled USB C® cable
and a USB C to USB Type A adapter. The wide USB C bandwidth allows users to fast-charge the keyboard or connect to
another device via the passthrough port at the rear of the keyboard.
ROG Gladius III Wireless and ROG Gladius III gaming mice
ROG Gladius III Wireless features tri mode connectivity via ultrafast 2.4 GHz RF, energy-efficient Bluetooth® LE, or
wired USB. It gives users the flexibility to select the mode that best suits the situation. Bluetooth fast-pairing
technology allows users to switch between three devices with a press of the Pair button.
The high end optical sensor of ROG Gladius III series offers unrivaled accuracy and precision, boasting a range of
100 – 26,000 dpi with a class leading 1% deviation, allowing the mice to track flawlessly at up to 400 inches per
second (ips) at 50 g acceleration. The optical sensor also provides a 1000 Hz polling rate in both 2.4 GHz wireless
and wired modes for lag free response. Users can save up to five profile settings on its onboard memory.
Mechanical switches use debouncing for button actuation, which usually results in click latency. Gladius III has a
unique pivoted button design with zero gap between the mouse button and switch to ensure instantaneous actuation. In
addition, tuned firmware filters out unintended mouse clicks for both mechanical and optical micro switches to give
gamers an edge in competitive gaming.
The Push Fit Switch Socket II design allows users to hot-swap traditional 3 pin mechanical switches and the latest 5
pin Omron® optical micro switches. With switches varying in feel and characteristics, the innovative socket design
gives users the flexibility to select the switch that best suits their individual play style. The strengthened
socket also reduces shaking to provide consistent button clicks.
ROG Gladius III has RGB-illuminated laser-engraved ROG markings on its side, and features the ROG Paracord and 100%
PTFE round-edged mouse feet to ensure a swift and smooth glide.
