[Phone] How to fix the ROG Phone TwinView Dock problems
If the TwinView Dock is malfunctioning, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check for Foreign Objects
Inspect and clean the USB Type-C ports on both the TwinView Dock and the phone to ensure they are free of debris.
2. Remove and Reassemble the TwinView Dock
Ensure the TwinView Dock is correctly assembled with the phone:
2-1. **Removing the Dock**: Push the rear latch to the unlocked position, then use the ROG Phone to push open the spring barrier between the dual screens, separating the phone's USB Type-C port from the dock to detach it.
2-2. **Assembling the Dock**: Use the ROG Phone to push open the spring barrier between the dual screens, inserting the phone's USB Type-C port into the dock connection.
2-3. **Locking the Dock**: Push the rear latch to the locked position to ensure a stable connection.
*Note: The TwinView Dock cannot function if the latch is in the unlocked position.
3. Update Your Phone System
Update your phone to the latest system version and reconnect the TwinView Dock. The phone will automatically check if the TwinView Dock firmware is up-to-date and initiate a firmware update if necessary.
*Notes
- During the TwinView Dock firmware update process, avoid using the side Type-C ports or removing the fan until the firmware update is complete.
- To update your phone system: Connect to the internet, go to **Settings > System > System Update > Check for Updates**, and download and install the new version if available.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please prepare your TwinView Dock and ROG Phone and contact ASUS Customer Support for further assistance.
