TAIPEI, Taiwan, April 26, 2023 — ASUS today announced ExpertBook B2 (B2402C / B2502C) and ExpertBook B2 Flip (B2402F / B2502F), powerful new business laptops suitable for everyday office tasks and on-the-go productivity. Both B2 and B2 Flip are available with either a 14-inch or a 15.6-inch display and offer extensive hardware customization options to give businesses a wide choice of solutions to meet their business needs.
Both the clamshell ExpertBook B2 and the convertible ExpertBook B2 Flip feature the power of 13th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, and offer a wide range of configuration options for businesses to choose from, including the amount of RAM and the SSD and/or HDD size1. Other optional features that can be specified include an IR HD webcam, a smart card reader, a backlit keyboard with the ASUS SensePoint pointing nub, a discrete TPM 2.0 security chip, and ASUS Pen 2.0 for convertible models.
For go-anywhere business connectivity, B2 and B2 Flip include optional 5G cellular support as well as WiFi 6 or WiFi 6E, enhanced with ASUS WiFi Master technology. High-speed I/O capabilities include full-function Thunderbolt™ 4 USB-C®, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C®, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 ports, along with HDMI 1.4b output and a convenient audio combo jack.
Powerful and customizable
ExpertBook B2 and B2 Flip are powered by up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with up to Intel Iris® Xe graphics, which deliver the fast and responsive performance businesses need to get the job done.
Flexible configuration options allow businesses to easily select their ideal hardware configuration. Two SO-DIMM slots provide a maximum memory capacity of 64 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz RAM — sufficient for even the most memory-hungry applications — and the dual-storage capability in the B2 model supports up to a 2 TB PCIe® 4.0 x4 SSD and a 2 TB HDD for the ultimate combination of speed and capacity.
Comprehensive connectivity
ExpertBook B2 and B2 Flip have optional built-in 5G cellular technology for secure, ultrafast downloads of big files. They also feature optional WiFi 6 or WiFi 6E technology enhanced with ASUS WiFi Master for the fastest and most reliable WiFi connections.
B2 and B2 Flip are loaded with I/O ports for easy on-the-go device connections. These include an ultrafast Thunderbolt™ 4 USB-C® port, which supports 40 Gbps data transfer speeds, 4K display support and fast charging. For maximum device compatibility, there are also USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 Type-A ports, along with an HDMI 1.4b port that supports a second external 4K display, and a convenient 3.5 mm audio combo jack.
Superb user experience
ExpertBook B2 and B2 Flip are designed to accelerate productivity in any business scenario. To this end, all models are available with a range of optional hardware features that help boost security, convenience and ergonomics. Additionally, business can choose between B2 for a standard clamshell design, or the convertible B2 Flip with its versatile 360° precision-engineered hinge, which allows use in laptop mode, stand mode, tent mode, and tablet mode — or anything in between. Both models are also available with a range of display options, including up to either a 14-inch or 15.6-inch 16:9 FHD IPS display.
Hardware options include an IR HD webcam2 that supports face recognition; a smart card reader; a backlit keyboard featuring the ergonomic ASUS SensePoint pointing nub; and a hardware TPM 2.0 chip. B2 Flip additionally supports the latest ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus with 4096 pressure levels. With these options, B2 and B2 Flip can be tailored to suit almost any kind of business need, in any market sector.
With the increasing popularity of remote working and video conferencing, ASUS AI noise-canceling technology ensures the best experience for working-from-home employees. ASUS AI noise-canceling audio employs machine learning in order to isolate unwanted noise from human speech. The ClearVoice Mic feature in the MyASUS app can filter out ambient noise and, in Multi-presenter mode, normalize all individual voices from different positions for optimum group conference-call quality. The ClearVoice Speaker feature filters out all ambient noise apart from human speech – so users hear what everyone else is saying.
Enterprise-grade security, military-grade durability
For enterprise-grade security applications, the optional discrete TPM 2.0 chip securely in ExpertBook B2 and B2 Flip stores authentication information used by software, such as passwords or encryption keys, to protect important data and transactions. There's also built-in biometric security with the optional IR webcam for face-recognition login, and a fingerprint sensor on the power button for simple one-touch sign-on. The optional smart card reader can be used for easy 2FA, enforcing both a password and a recognized card for login. For physical security, there's an industry-standard Kensington lock slot that allows the laptop to be tethered securely to a desk. User privacy is also addressed by the physical webcam shield that instantly obscures the webcam.
ExpertBook B2 is available with optional Intel vPro® platform. This provides a framework that lightens the workload of an organization's IT department to improve overall operational efficiency. Built-in security provides threat mitigation, identity and access protection, as well as data and asset protection. The vPro platform also enables remotely-managed automated troubleshooting and advanced virtualization, reducing administration costs and ensuring that data is kept secure.
Finally, life on the road is tough, so B2 and B2 Flip are designed to both meet and surpass exacting industry thresholds — including the latest ultra-demanding MIL-STD 810H US military standard.3 They are built to survive every extreme, from freezing temperatures to the searing heat of desert storms, and high-speed shocks to everyday bumps. B2 and B2 Flip also undergo stringent in-house testing, including panel-pressure, shock and drop tests for an assurance of serious durability.
