BU201employs tough, lightweight carbon-fiber in its construction to give it formidable strength while weighing just 1.27kg. Engineered to meet the demanding requirements of professionals, BU201 combines intelligent ergonomics, enterprise-level security and exceptional reliability with durability that exceeds US military standards. Tested to withstand the real world
To ensure outstanding reliability and durability in any business environment, ASUSPRO BU201 is built with a tough carbon-fiber LCD cover that combines outstanding strength with light weight, and the hard disk drive has an anti-shock mechanism —powered by a 3-axis accelerometer — that helps protect it from everyday bumps and knocks.
Like all ASUSPRO notebooks, BU201 has to pass a barrage of 14 physical tests that exceed the tough requirements of the US military specification US-MIL-STD 810G. These include enhanced drop-testing and hinge longevity tests, along with lid pressure tests that are up to 20% higher than standard notebooks. Additionally, the spill-resistant keyboard design means that BU201 is unfazed by minor accidental liquid spills.

BU201 has an elegant and slim ultraportable aluminum chassis that measures just 20.6mm thin and weighs a mere 1.27kg, making it an ideal choice for highly-mobile professionals. The design of BU201 offers superior ergonomics, with a full-size keyboard featuring a desktop-equivalent 19mm key pitch and deep 2mm key travel for an enhanced typing feel. The chiclet-style keyboard is also backlit for easy use in dim lighting conditions.
Other thoughtful design details intended to aid comfort and productivity abound, such as the precise 50mm separation between the pressure-sensitive ASUSPRO SensePoint pointing stick and the three touchpad buttons — the optimum distance for easy mouse-free control and navigation.
The bright and clear 12.5-inch Full HD IPS display has an anti-glare coating to reduce distractingreflections, and the 180° screen hinge allows the display to lay completely flat for flexible viewing or for use in vertical desktop stands.
