Excerpt: Within the majestic Chocolate Hills and captivating beaches of Bohol is a small town with very scarce resources, Tontonan, Loon. This town is filled with such culture and love for the environment as they live amongst what nature has given them. And between this comes a humble school, the Carmelite Learning Center led by the Carmelite Sisters of Sta. Teresa of Avila.
The institution aims to provide quality Catholic Christian Education to all the the children in the area, but to do this, they need equipments that are future ready especially in this digital age. Combining the limited assets the center has and the pandemic striking, the Carmelite Sisters had a harder time than usual and during this is when Tzu Chi Foundation found their way to the beloved school. ASUS Philippines, with the help of the foundation, provided the school with a new computer lab to help the students become ready for what the future holds.
The Carmelite Learning Center and Tzu Chi Foundation also extended their help to the migrant Ati Tribe of Loay, Bohol. The computer lab now serves both the students of Tontonan, Loon, Bohol and the Ati children of Loay, Bohol to help nourish their minds and adapt to the digital age. With a warm heart, ASUS Philippines is joyous to have been part in shaping the children of tomorrow and we are always ready to share the Incredible especially in inaccessible parts of the country.
