[Phone] Troubleshooting - Cooler Fan does not operate after connecting to ROG Phone
If the cooler Fan does not operate after connecting to your ROG phone, please follow the troubleshooting steps below to fix the issue:
1. Check for foreign objects in the USB Type-C ports of both the Cooler Fan and phone, clean as needed, and reboot your phone.
2. Detach and attach the cooler Fan, ensuring correct posirioning:
2-1.Press the side eject button on the top of the Cooler Fan to release the back clip, then push the phone up to detach it.
2-2.Mount the Cooler to the phone through the Cooler Fan's bottom connector and phone's side USB Type-C port.
2-3.Hold the Cooler Fan and the phone tightly and closely.
2-4.Push the top of the Cooler Fan down until you hearing a 'click' to securely attach it to the phone.
2-5.Double-check that the power button is properly positioned under the top of the cooler.
3. Open the Armoury Crate app, go to Console > More Settings for the AeroActive Coooler, and make sure the Cooling mode is enabled.
4. Update your phone to the latest version system and reconnect the Cooler Fan. The phone system may provide a cooler software update upon reconnection.
Update firmware to latest version: Settings > System> System updates > Check now.
If the issue persists after these steps, please prepare your fan and phone and contact ASUS Service Center for additional technical support.
Note: This knowledge is intended for ROG phone 6 using USB Type-C ports to connect to the Cooler Fan and the future models.
