ASUS Honored as Top 100 Global Innovator
TAPEI, Taiwan, February 24, 2021 — ASUS today announced that the company has been named as one of Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators™ 2021, a roll call of the world’s most-innovative companies.
Facing fierce competition among 14,000 other organizations, ASUS entered the esteemed echelons of the Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators 2021 report. This identifies the world’s finest innovators with a strong track record in securing important, commercially attractive patents that have a significant impact on future inventions. Every year since 2012, the Top 100 Global Innovators has identified companies at the pinnacle of the global innovation landscape based on four indicators: volume of patents, influence, success and globalization[i]. Among these criteria, ASUS was rated particularly high in two indicators: influence and globalization.

Volume: The organization must have had at least 100 granted inventions (and more than 500 filed in total) in the past five years. 2. Influence: The level of downstream impact by being highly cited externally by other organizations, and measured via the Derwent Patent Citations Index over the last five years, excluding citations from themselves. 3. Success: A high ratio of success in obtaining patent grants. 4. Globalization: The level of investment of a patent applicant in their invention, as tracked via the process of pursuing protection in all four of the key market patent offices of China, Europe, Japan, and the United States.
