ASUS
today announced that its line-up of AMD FM2+-based motherboards offer support
for the latest AMD® A-series Accelerated Processing Units (APUs),
codenamed ‘Godavari’.
When used in combination with ASUS AMD FM2+
motherboards the new AMD A-series APUs offer great-value performance, delivering
best-in-class gaming and graphics experiences at up to 4K/UHD
(ultra-high-definition) resolutions. Existing ASUS owners can update their
motherboards quickly and easily using the intuitive ASUS USB BIOS Flashback or ASUS
EZ Update tools. The necessary BIOS updates are available to download
immediately, while an easy graphics-driver (VGA) update pushes the AMD A-Series
APUs’ integrated AMD Radeon™ graphics to new performance heights for
better-than-ever visual and gaming experiences.
Ready for Godavari in just a few clicks
Updating
an ASUS AMD FM2+-based motherboard for compatibility with the latest AMD
A-series (‘Godavari’) APUs takes just moments.
With the ASUS-exclusive
USB BIOS Flashback the latest UEFI BIOS is downloaded to a USB flash drive. The
motherboard does not even need to have a processor or memory modules in place:
users simply connect the power supply, plug in their USB drive, press the USB
BIOS Flashback button and then sit back and wait — there’s nothing else to do.
Alternatively,
the Windows-based EZ Update tool — accessed via EZ Mode in ASUS AI Suite 3 —
will update the motherboard’s BIOS with just one click
Users are
also advised to update to the latest graphics drivers (version 14.502.1013.0 or
later) to unleash the best possible performance.
