ASUS Introduces Two Device Charging Stands
ASUS PW100 Wireless Charging Stand and ASUS Dock for Nexus 7 ensure a perfect viewing position for devices while charging.
ASUS today announced the release of the ASUS PW100 Wireless Charging Stand and the ASUS Dock for Nexus 7 (2013). The PW100 features the Qi inductive power standard to wirelessly charge Qi-compatible tablet devices and features a built-in LED charge status indicator. The ASUS Dock has a slide-in design that accepts the Nexus 7 (2013) in either portrait or landscape orientation, and features HDMI output to allow users to view HD 1080p content stored in the tablet on an external display. Both charging stands are able to prop up tablets at an ergonomic viewing angle of 60 degrees.
ASUS PW100 Wireless Charging Stand
The ASUS PW100 Wireless Charging Stand has an elegant pyramid-inspired design that gives it a sturdy base and features a textured finish that is soft to the touch. It is designed to be compact and portable, measuring 75 x 65 x 84mm, and weighs in at just 200g. The PW100 is designed specifically for Qi-compatible wireless devices, and can even charge them even with protective covers on. Users simply need to place their device on the PW100’s non-slip surface to charge their devices wirelessly. The PW100 props the tablet up at an ideal viewing angle of 60 degrees, allowing users to watch videos or use it as a digital photo frame or clock while charging. The LED charge indicator found on the PW100 shows the device’s current battery levels. The PW100 has a micro USB port, and requires a 5V/2A DC input, and provides a 5V/1A DC output.
ASUS Dock for Nexus 7 (2013)
The ASUS Dock for the 2013-model year Nexus 7 features a slide-in design that props up the tablet in either landscape or portrait orientation. This triangular dock has rubber feet to ensure a sturdy base, and puts the Nexus 7 (2013) in an ideal viewing position for users to watch movies, play games, or surf the web. Users can even pair their device with Bluetooth-enabled keyboards or earphones for continued productivity and entertainment while charging. A built-in HDMI port will allow users to view HD 1080p content on larger external displays*.
