TAIPEI, Taiwan, November
5, 2020 — ASUS
Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced that extreme overclocker safedisk set 15 Global First Place
scores with ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero and the latest AMD® Ryzen™
processors. Crosshair VIII Dark Hero was paired with the AMD Ryzen 5800X, 5900X
and 5950X to chase 8-core, 12-core and 16-core scores. Records were set in
Cinebench R15 and R20, Geekbench3 and 4, and a range of processor-intensive
benchmarks (GPUPI 1B, HWBot x265, wPrime 1024M). In addition to multi-core
scores, safedisk also managed to set a new landmark for the single-core
Geekbench4 world record.
During his
record breaking runs, safedisk broke the 6 GHz barrier multiple times,
including hitting 6075 MHz on all cores during the GPUPI 3.2 1B 16-core
attempt, and matching it again while breaking the single-core record. He
complemented both the teamed power delivery circuit of ROG Crosshair VIII Dark
Hero as well as the improved AMD Ryzen process which were both crucial for his
success. His scores and hardware specs are listed below.
