ASUS Announces ROG Strix B550-A Gaming and TUF Gaming B550-Plus (Wi Fi)

Latest additions to ASUS B550 lineup give users more choices of 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen or future Ryzen ‘Zen 3’ Architecture‑ready ATX motherboards

TAIPEI, Taiwan, June 16, 2020 - ASUS today announced ROG Strix B550-A Gaming and TUF Gaming B550-Plus (Wi‑Fi), the latest additions to the ever-growing ASUS B550 motherboard lineup designed for 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ desktop processors. The new arrivals feature WiFi 6, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, robust power delivery, high-frequency RAM compatibility, BIOS FlashBack™ and AI Noise‑Canceling Microphone (AI Mic) technology. The latter works by applying advanced filters to ensure background noise is cleanly filtered out.

ASUS also announced that ROG Strix B550‑I Gaming set a new DDR4 memory overclocking record, pushing the 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 5 3600x processor to an astounding 6068MHz. Extreme overclocking aside, ASUS B550 motherboards support next generation AMD Ryzen PRO, pushing DDR4 memory frequencies to up to 5100MHz (O.C).

All B550 motherboards feature ASUS Performance Enhancement (APE) that optimizes BIOS settings to achieve the best performance for each board. APE also raises the power limit of the 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs to get up to a 17.5% performance boost¹.
