TAIPEI, Taiwan, February 2, 2021 —ASUS today

Most Admired Companies for a sixth year, achieving a prominent ranking in the
Computers category and receiving outstanding recognition for innovation,
financial soundness as well as quality of products and services. “ASUS aspires
to become the world's most admired innovative leading technology enterprise,”
said ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih. “We are honored to receive this prestigious
accolade from Fortune for the sixth time. Being recognized as one of the
World's Most Admired Companies is validation that ASUS keeps transforming and
evolving and that we relentlessly strive towards that vision.”
The survey used to determine and rank Fortune's World's
Most Admired Companies consists of nine criteria, including investment value,
quality of management and products, social responsibility, and the ability to
attract talent. The strong rankings in these categories as well as other
significant achievements in 2020 — including being named as the Best Laptop
Brand in 2020 by Laptop Mag,
being recognized as the Most Socially Responsible Company in Asia,
and winning more than 50 prestigious design awards — are a
testament to the confidence and admiration towards the ASUS brand and its
products held by industry leaders and consumers alike.
True to the
company's In Search of Incredible brand promise, ASUS aspires to deliver
incredible innovations through technology that benefit people everywhere. Recently,
ASUS has made great strides in the areas of artificial intelligence, smart
medicine and smart manufacturing. As the fields of AI and machine learning
progress, ASUS continues to harness these advancements to deploy smart medical treatments,
use big data analysis to improve the quality of medical care, and move towards
personalized precision medicine. ASUS is also using AI technology to improve
efficiency of manufacturing processes.
ASUS is off
to a strong start in 2021, having already announced a full lineup of
groundbreaking products at CES 2021 as well as winning 16 CES Innovation Awards
for a wide range of products, including notebooks, displays, smartphones,
motherboards, graphics cards, mini PCs and gaming accessories. The ranking as
one of Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies is a great honor for the
company early in the year and highlights the ongoing ASUS commitment to delivering
incredible innovations to create the most ubiquitous, intelligent, heartfelt,
and joyful smart life for everyone.
Survey methodology
Fortune
collaborated with its partner Korn Ferry to conduct its annual survey. From a
list of approximately 1500 candidates, the 1000 largest U.S. companies were selected
based on revenue, along with non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500
database with revenues of $10 billion or greater. The highest-revenue companies
in each industry were selected, totaling 670 from 30 countries. To determine
the best-regarded companies in 52 industries, Korn Ferry asked executives,
directors, and analysts to rate enterprises from the final list of 670 companies
in their own industry on nine criteria, including investment value, quality of
management, products, social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A
company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.
