6549.71MHz i7-5960X CPU Frequency World Record on Rampage V Extreme
The fastest CPU Frequency using the new i7-5960X CPU from Intel has been achieved by John Lam with 6549.71 MHz (118.32% increase over stock frequency) on September 2nd, 2014.
John Lam, an extreme overclocker from Hong-Kong, used the new ASUS Rampage V Extreme, X99-based motherboard launched on August 29th. He recently also used a Maximus VII Gene to break the Haswell CPU frequency record with a 7193.81MHz Core i7-4770K.
