The Windows Game Bar is an inherent feature of the Windows operating system, designed to provide gamers with a convenient way to manage their gaming experiences while enabling a series of operations. By selecting a feature from the widget menu, it pops up as a widget display. Many of these windows can be moved, resized, or pinned to the screen. Below is an overview of the features and operational instructions for the Windows Game Bar:

How to open Game Bar

  • Press the Windows key + G to open the Game Bar above your game, application, or desktop.

    Note: Gaming handhelds can utilize an on-screen keyboard and set the keyboard configuration to 'traditional' to access the Game Bar using keyboard shortcuts.
  • All your favorite features are conveniently displayed in popup widgets.

 

Widget Menu

  • Widget menu: Select the Widget menu icon to open a list of activities to choose from.
  • Mouse click-through: Click-through ensures that all mouse activity will go through a pinned widget and straight to the underlying game or app. Select the mouse icon to enable or disable click-through.
  • Settings: Select the Settings icon to adjust preferences such as your accounts, keyboard shortcuts, and what notifications you want to receive.
  • Audio: Get the perfect mix by adjusting the sound levels of your game, chat, and background apps.

  • Gallery: Your game clips and screenshots will show up here.
