[Windows 11/10] How to Adjust Mouse/Touchpad Cursor Speed

This article provides instructions on adjusting the cursor speed for the mouse or touchpad in the Windows 11/10 operating system.

 

Windows 11 operating system

Adjust Mouse Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Mouse settings] in the Windows search bar①, then click [Open]②.  
  2. In the Mouse pointer speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the mouse cursor speed③.  

 

Adjust Touchpad Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Touchpad settings] in the Windows search bar①, then click [Open]②.  
  2. In the Cursor speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the touchpad cursor speed③.  

 

 

Windows 10 operating system

Adjust Mouse Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Mouse settings] in the Windows search bar①, then click [Open]②.  
  2. In the Cursor speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the mouse cursor speed③.  
  3. If there is no Cursor speed option in the mouse setting, it might be due to Windows version differences. Click [Additional mouse options]④.  
  4. Select [Pointer Options]⑤, drag the slider left or right in the Select a pointer speed field to adjust the mouse cursor speed⑥, then click [Apply]⑦ and [OK]⑧ to save changes.  

 

Adjust Touchpad Cursor Speed
  1. Type and search [Touchpad settings] in the Windows search bar①, then click [Open]②.  
  2. In the Change the cursor speed field, drag the slider left or right to adjust the touchpad cursor speed③.
