DeLonghi chooses ASUS All-in-One PCs to deliver product information in flagship stores

The opportunity

Founded in 1902, DeLonghi is a leading manufacturer of domestic appliances, including coffee makers, food processors, kettles, toasters and portable air-conditioners.

To give customers and promoters all the information they might need in a limited space, DeLonghi wanted a space-saving, energy-efficient and easy to manage PC with a touch-sensitive display for use as an in-store information kiosk.

The Outcome

DeLonghi chose the ASUS All-in-One PC ET2012 for several reasons.

Thanks to its slim design, the ASUS ET2012 can embedded easily into an information kiosk and the multi-touch display means there’s no need for the clutter of a keyboard or mouse.

Customers interact with the DeLonghi demo material simply by tapping and swiping the screen with a fingertip for a seamless, and wholly intuitive, shopping experience.

With a high-performance PC at its disposal, DeLonghi is also able to use the ET2012 for more sophisticated applications, such as tracking the amount of time customers spend using the kiosks and the products they look at — something that simply isn’t possible with traditional in-store demo kiosks.

The ET2012 uses a fraction of the power consumed by more traditional desktop PCs, and is EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR® certified, too — important considerations for kiosk applications where the computer is running all day, every day.
