Dual-function business-card-sized stand charges tablets while propping them up in an ideal viewing position

ASUS today announced the Micro USB Charging Stand, a business-card-sized stand that charges tablets while propping them up in an ideal viewing position for watching movies or surfing the web.

Portable, compact design

The ASUS Micro USB Charging Stand is designed for tablets that support charging via micro USB. Measuring just 48 x 87 x 16mm and weighing just 53g, this business-card-sized stand features a magnetic twin-stand design that props up the tablet to an ideal angle for viewing videos or photos, surfing the web, or typing emails and messages. The adjustable design ensures that the Micro USB Charging Stand works with ASUS tablets of various sizes. Magnets help clamp the twin stands together to fit in the bundled carry bag when not in use.

Additional connectivity features for smart devices

The charging stand features a USB 2.0 slot to add connectivity to smart devices, giving them the ability work with a mouse, or read external flash or hard disk drives. This feature works with compatible Windows or Android™ devices with USB On-the-Go (OTG) functionality. A convenient LED indicator shows the device’s charging or USB 2.0 connectivity status.
