Up-to-date LGA1155 Socket Platform for Outstanding Performance
P8B-X supports wide-range CPUs to cover different levels of market segment including Intel® Xeon® E3-1200 processor family, Intel® CoreTM i3-2100 Processor Family, and Intel® CoreTM G8x0/G6x0 Processor Family. The new platform architecture use a LGA1155 package with memory and PCI Express controllers integrated to support dual-channel DDR3 ECC memory and 20 PCI Express 2.0 lanes. The support of ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory improves data integrity to offer higher reliability. Provision of more PCI Express 2.0 lanes benefits various server applications. Most important, the motherboard provides significant performance improvement around 25% over previous generation.
Dual Intel Server Class GbE, IPv6 Support Ready
With the fast explode of internet traffic, the P8B-X equipped Intel® GbE LAN controllers with IPv6 support and backward compatible with IPv4 protocol. With IPv6 ready support, customer can deploy new systems seamlessly work with existing Ethernet environment. With teaming function which supports Fault Tolerance technology. Also, the Load Balance handles network traffics delicately which is good at enhancing network functionality.
Most Cost-saving Solutions for Customers
The P8B-X focus on easy-available chassis, standard ATX form factor, power supply, and UDIMM memory with desktop MB, so that customers can upgrade to the new generation platform only with a new serverboard and protect their existing investment. Meanwhile, the product is power saving with low power-consuming Intel Xeon processor, and therefore requires lower thermal solution cost.
Wide Range OS Support
The P8B-X supports wide-range mainstream server and client OS, including Windows 2008 R2, Windows 7, Cent OS, redhat, SuSE Linux and so on to meet the demand of different customers.
UEFI BIOS Support
To meet the trend of large capacity hard disk drive, P8B-X equips UEFI BIOS. The UEFI BIOS supports the latest GPT (GUID Partition Table) partition format and backward compatible with legacy MBR (Master Boot Record) partition format, users can easily and flexibly manage very large capacity hard disk drive or partition, ex: single hard disk or single partition larger than 2.2TB.
