[AiMesh] What to do if AiMesh synchronization fail?

For more AiMesh information, please go to: https://www.asus.com/Microsite/AiMesh/en/index.html

If your AiMesh router fails to sync with your AiMesh node, please follow the steps below and try the synchronization again:

1. If someone else also set up AiMesh system at the same time as you, please wait for 1 minute and try the set up again.

2. When using wireless sync AiMesh nodes, place the AiMesh nodes close to the AiMesh router, within 1-3 meters of each other.
3. The AiMesh node is up and remains at the default setting.

4. AiMesh nodes have been updated to the latest firmware.

5. For optimal performance with multiple ASUS AiMesh extendable routers, set the one with the highest specifications as the main router.

6. Be sure the WPS function is enabled on your AiMesh router. WPS path: Login to the Web GUI and click [Wireless] > [WPS] > [Enable WPS]。

7. If connecting to the AiMesh node wirelessly fails, please try using a wired connection.

8. When Ethernet backhaul mode is enabled, all AiMesh routers and nodes can only be connected via a wired connection.

If some nodes want to use a wireless connection, please turn off the Ethernet backhaul mode.

Please refer to FAQ [AiMesh] What is Ethernet Backhaul Mode/Backhaul Connection Priority in AiMesh System and how to set up in different scenarios

9. You can mesh up existing AiMesh routers with WiFi 7 routers. However, while enabling MLO on WiFi might cause compatibility issue with existing AiMesh nodes, If MLO is enabled on AiMesh primary router, the node without MLO will not broadcast 6GHz WiFi.

If you want to disable MLO, log in to the ASUS router settings page, go to [Wireless] > [MLO], and click [Enable MLO] to disable this feature (enabled by default).

Please refer to FAQ [Wi-Fi 7 Wireless Router] What is MLO (Multi-Link Operation) and how it works?
