The NFC reader integrated into the ASUS NumberPad means logging in to ExpertBook B9 can be as simple, swift and secure as the swipe of an authorized card.
ASUS AdaptiveLock detects the user's presence and uses an integrated infrared camera to recognize their face and log them in without lifting a finger. The moment they step away, ExpertBook B9 automatically locks to protect both the laptop and its data. There's also a physical cover that can obscure ExpertBook B9’s webcam when needed for an assurance of instant privacy when the webcam is not in use.
ExpertBook B9 has built-in biometric security, with a fingerprint sensor for easy access. Users can just tap the button to log in — with no difficult-to-remember passwords or PIN required.
A discrete TPM 2.0 chip securely stores authentication information used by software, such as passwords or encryption keys, to protect important data and transactions. User details remain encrypted, virtually eliminating the risk of leaks through hacking.
Finally, an integrated Kensington lock slot allows ExpertBook B9 to be physically secured in unsupervised locations.
Comprehensive connectivity

Precision-milled, military-grade durability
To create ExpertBook B9’s precision-cut lid and complex keyboard surround, a high-precision CNC-milling process is used to shape single pieces of solid metal. This reduces unnecessary internal voids, rendering the entire chassis tougher and stronger than is possible using traditional metal-stamping methods.
This process, along with the use of magnesium-lithium alloy in the lid and structural reinforcement for increased chassis strength, enables ExpertBook B9 to meet the industry-leading MIL-STD 810H US military standard — in addition to undergoing extensive and stringent in-house testing, including panel-pressure, shock and drop tests.
