[Wireless Router] Troubleshooting - Computer(WiFi device) cannot find the WiFi name(signal) of ASUS router
There are some situations that WiFi device(computer or phone) cannot find the WiFi name(signal), like can't find 2.4G/ 5G not working /don't show 6G, or it may be a problem with the WiFi device or the network. Please refer to the instructions below.
Proper noun : SSID (Service Set Identifier) name is also the WiFi name of the wireless network.
Note:
a. It is recommended to try to use other devices (laptops or other phones) to connect to the same wireless (WiFi) network to confirm whether the same situation exists.
If it's a computer problem, it's recommended to contact your phone manufacturer for help.
b. After trying to remove the ASUS router, use other devices (laptops or other routers) to connect to your ISP modem to confirm whether situation is the same.
If it is a problem with the ISP modem, it is recommended to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to confirm the network issues.
c. Supported channels of 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz WiFi differ according to each country’s local law and restrictions.
For example, your computer's network card and wireless router both support 6 GHz, but your country/region is not available for 6 GHz, you may not be able to connect.

5. Check if your wireless router is set to turn off or hide the WiFi signal
- 1-1 Type and search [ Device Manager ] in the Windows search bar
- 1-2. Find your wireless network adapter in Device Manager.
- 1-3 Check that the wireless network card is enabled.

Please place the router close to the frequently used WiFi device(computer or phone) . Shorten the distance between the WiFi device and the router and avoid obstacles, and to avoid affecting the signal strength due to the signal transmission distance.

4-1 Connect your computer to the router via wired connection and enter your router LAN IP or router URL http://www.asusrouter.com to the WEB GUI.

4-2 Go to Network Map >Click icon.
4-3 Check whether your wireless the SSID and password.

If you are unsure whether the router has WIFI LED or a WIFI physical button, or if you are unsure of their location, please refer to the user manual for instructions.
a. For ASUS routers with designed WiFi LED, you can find the WiFi LED on the top or side panel of the router. If the WiFi LED light is not on, it may not be enabled, please refer to the following FAQ to enable WiFi.

b. For ASUS routers with designed WiFi hardware button, you can simply press the WiFi button to turn on/off the WiFi signal. This button can be found on the back, front, or side panel of the router. Please refer to the FAQ below

c. Go to the router settings page to check whether the WiFi signal is turned off or hidden.
c-1 Connect your computer to the router via wired connection and enter your router LAN IP or router URL http://www.asusrouter.com to the WEB GUI.

c-2 Go to Wireless > Professional, [Enable Radio] defaults to [Yes] (Enabled).
c-3 Go to Wireless > General, [Hide SSID] defaults to [No] (WiFi name is not hidden).
