1. Monitor Power Connection Methods 
When the Type C power supply on the computer side is insufficient, it is recommended to connect the power supply for use. 


2. Introduction to Various Display Settings and Connection Methods

 

Mirror mode 
a. Provides a convenient way for one-to-one or one-to-two presentations, allowing participants to communicate better face-to-face.   


b. Connection Methods: 
This mode supports Type C 2 ports or HDMI ports, and both screens display the same image. The image on the laptop can be mirrored or extended.   


c. After connecting, please select Mirror Mode in the OSD menu.

 

Extend mode 
a. Designed for multitasking anytime, anywhere, it is very suitable for working simultaneously on multiple windows and screens.  

(Note: HDMI does not support extend mode) 
 

b. Connection Methods: 
This mode only supports Type C 2 interfaces. The upper and lower screens display different images, equivalent to connecting two monitors simultaneously. The image on the laptop can be mirrored or extended.

  
(Note: MAC / Chrome OS / phone only support lower screen (A2) display, cannot display on the upper screen (A1))

 

c. After connecting, please select Extend Mode in the OSD menu.

 

 

Split mode 
a. Displays content in a single split-screen view, which is very suitable for coding or reading long documents. 

 

 

b. Connection Methods: 
This mode supports Type C 2  or HDMI interfaces. The upper and lower screens merge into one screen, and the image on the laptop can be mirrored or extended. 

 

* (Note: When connecting via USB Type-C, pay attention to using USB-C2 to achieve split mode)

 

c. After connecting, please select Split Mode in the OSD menu.

 

 

Independent mode  
a. Designed for connecting two devices, it can easily share your screen content with other devices or game consoles. 

 

b. Connection Methods: 
In this mode, the two screens' signals are independent and can connect to two different signal sources (e.g., phone, game console, laptop, and desktop computer). 
  (Note: Connection port interface options include Type C1 & HDMI, Type C2 & HDMI, Type C1 & Type C2)

Q3: Does it support automatic screen rotation?  
A3, Please set it in the OSD menu, enable [Auto Rotate], and it only supports Windows systems. You need to install the ASUS DisplayWidget Center software download, which allows the screen to sense its orientation and automatically switch display between landscape and portrait modes.  

 

 

 

*(Type-C1/HDMI in independent mode does not support the auto-rotate function. It is recommended to use Windows display direction (System -> Display).
