ASUS Zenbook DUO (2024) and ASUS ProArt PZ13 Laptops Win Silver at IDEA 2024

TAIPEI, Taiwan, September 13, 2024—ASUS today announced that the Zenbook DUO (2024) (UX8406) and ProArt PZ13 (HT5306) laptops won Silver Awards in the Consumer Technology category at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2024. Additionally, eight more ASUS products were named as finalists, marking 2024 as the company’s most successful year at IDEA. This strong showing underlines the company's dedication to redefining user experiences through innovative design that balances aesthetics and technological excellence.
ASUS Zenbook DUO (2024) also earned a spot in the permanent collection of the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, highlighting the ingenuity of the world’s first AI-powered 14-inch dual-screen laptop. The museum, a longstanding partner of the IDEA awards, adds select award-winning products to its permanent collection every year.

Eight ASUS products named as finalists

Among the IDEA 2024 finalists were the ProArt P16 (H7606) and ProArt PX13 (HN7306). Alongside the ProArt PZ13, these ProArt AI PCs feature ASUS-exclusive StoryCube and MuseTree apps to enable smarter, streamlined creative workflows powered by fully local AI. Other finalists included the premium ultraportable ASUS Zenbook S 14 OLED (UX5406); the ultrathin ASUS Zenbook S 16 OLED (UM5606) with its unique Ceraluminum™ lid; and the ASUS Vivobook S series laptops that seamlessly integrate cutting-edge technology with a minimalist design.

IDEA is organized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). The 44th iteration of the award ceremony was held in Austin, Texas on September 12, 2024, making it one of the longest-running and most prestigious design award programs. IDEA winners are determined through blind evaluation by a jury of experts who assess thousands of entries based on design innovation, benefits to users, clients, and society, and appropriate aesthetics.
