ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces ROG Masters East Asia Regional Qualifier
Online qualifying rounds will be held from 12th to 18th September, 2016
Taipei, Taiwan (13th September, 2016) — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced that the ROG Masters East Asia Region Online Qualifier Round will be held from 12th to 18th September, 2016.
Throughout the week, teams from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau will battle it out in the Group Stage, with the winners making it through to the Online Qualifier Playoffs, which will be broadcast live to a global online audience. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) live broadcast on 17th September will be commentated by pro gamer Daniel ‘dabo0’ Bürgle, while the live Dota 2 broadcast the following day will be helmed by Toby ‘TobiWan’ Dawson and Gareth ‘Gareth’ Bateson.
ROG Masters is Asia’s largest eSports tournament and features a prize pool of US$200,000. From September to October, 2016, Dota 2 and CS:GO teams will battle it out in a series of regional qualifiers for a spot in the Grand Finals, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 12th to 13th November, 2016. ROG Masters strives to uncover future talent in the Asian Dota 2 and CS:GO scenes and bring them into the international spotlight.
