TAIPEI, Taiwan, August 14, 2017 — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced Strix GL702VI, a 17.3-inch gaming laptop that is powered by a 7th Generation Intel® Core™ processor, with NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics and a superfast 120Hz panel with NVIDIA G-SYNC™ technology for unstoppable gaming. Strix GL702VI has Windows 10 Professional preloaded and features an RGB-backlit keyboard with ASUS Aura lighting technology, plus smart-amplifier audio technology.

Strix GL702VI is powered by the latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7 quad-core processor with up to 32GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics to give gamers the performance to play the latest games. Strix GL702VI can be specified with up to a 512GB NVM Express® PCIe® 3.0 x4 SSD for superfast data access speeds to minimize game and app loading time. Strix GL702VI uses heat pipes and dual 12V fans to increase airflow throughout the chassis by up to 35%, and maximizes cooling efficiency to ensure system stability during intense gaming marathons.

Tactile, responsive keyboard with Aura lighting technology

Strix GL702 features an RGB-backlit keyboard with chiclet keys and a specially-marked WASD key group for fast, accurate control — even in the dark. Aura RGB lighting technology allows users to customize the keyboard lighting across four zones. Precisely-engineered scissor switches provide 1.8mm of key travel for a tactile, responsive feel; while anti-ghosting technology and 30-key rollover ensure all inputs are tracked even when up to 30 keys are pressed simultaneously.

Strix GL702VI can be specified with up to a 17.3-inch Full HD wide-view panel with a superfast 120Hz refresh rate, wide viewing angles and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. G-SYNC synchronizes the display’s refresh rate to that of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card to eliminate visual tear, and drastically reduce lag and frame rate stutter to deliver smooth and fast gaming graphics — without affecting system performance. Strix GL702 features two 1W speakers that deliver crisp, clear and powerful audio, with smart-amplifier technology boosting volume by up to 200%.
