ASUS Announces VivoMini UN65 and UN45 Series

Stylish mini PCs powered by the latest 6th-generation Intel Core processors deliver desktop performance in a compact design

ASUS today announced the VivoMini UN65 and UN45 Series, a complete range of mini PCs designed to deliver fully-functional computing for the home or office in an ultra-compact and elegant 131 x 131 x 42mm or 131 x 131 x 52mm chassis. VivoMini UN65 and UN65H models are powered by the latest 6th-generation Intel® Core™ processors, while VivoMini UN45 and UN45H have Intel® Celeron® quad- or dual-core processors. In addition, VivoMini UN65H and UN45H models feature dual-storage-bay designs for added storage flexibility. A software suite — including the ASUS-exclusive Media Streamer, Remote Go!, and ASUS Business Manager — makes VivoMini UN Series ideal for homes or small businesses.

Desktop performance in a compact design

VivoMini UN65 and UN65H models are powered by the latest 6th-generation Intel Core processors to give users a combination of outstanding performance with incredible energy efficiency. VivoMini UN45 and UN45H are powered by the latest Intel Celeron quad-core or dual-core (‘Braswell’) processors.

VivoMini UN45H and UN65H models feature dual-storage-bay designs which users can specify with up to a 1TB 2.5-inch hard disk, up to a 256GB M.2 solid state drive (SSD), or a combination of both for added flexibility. Native M.2 support with PCI Express® SSD enables fast data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbit/s.

VivoMini UN Series delivers exceptional 4K/UHD visuals and is ideal for digital signage or home theater PC use. It works with any display, HDMI TV, or projector; and supports up to three independent displays[1] through HDMI and DisplayPort++. This gives users more onscreen space for multi-tasking, allowing them to spread out work windows, mirror content, or extend a single window across multiple displays.

802.11ac Wi-Fi, together with the exclusive ASUS Media Streamer and Remote Go! software, lets users stream music and movies, or control VivoMini UN series remotely. VivoMini UN series has extensive connectivity options, and features USB Battery Charging Specification 1.2 (BC 1.2) on its side USB ports for 2X-faster device charging.

Zen-inspired concentric-circle finish

VivoMini UN Series is the recipient of a Good Design Award, and features smoothly-rounded edges and the iconic spun-metal-effect finish with its Zen-inspired concentric circles. Its high-gloss Midnight Blue color scheme makes it a striking addition to any office or home.

It can even be VESA-mounted on the back of a display to create an all-in-one PC for a tidy workstation. This versatile design is ideal for point-of-sale terminals, digital signage, kiosk displays, small office computing platforms, or home theater PCs.

Robust and reliable fanless design

Selected versions of VivoMini UN45 and UN45H feature a fanless[2] design and a low-power processor for almost-silent operation even under full load — making them ideal for quiet environments like libraries or offices. This low-noise design also helps when watching movies or listening to music. The robust fanless design also allows for easy, cost-effective maintenance.

ASUS Business Manager is a one-stop software suite designed to help small business owners with routine maintenance and servicing. ASUS Business Manager lets users customize their BIOS logo, manage power settings, backup data for recovery, and active password-enabled USB locks.

VivoMini UN Series can also be customized according to users’ needs. It is available as a barebones solution, allowing users to tailor the operating system, Wi-Fi card, or storage options to their needs. It has an easy-access design for simple, hassle-free hardware upgrades.
