ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces Results of ROG Community Challenge Grand Final

Team izakOOO crowned as the first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ROG Community Challenge champions at Dreamhack Monster Studios

Stockholm, Sweden (12th January, 2017) — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced that Team izakOOO are the winners of the ROG Join the Republic Community Challenge Grand Final held at the Dreamhack Monster Studios in Stockholm, Sweden on 5th-8th January, 2017. Team izakOOO, led by Polish pro-gamer Piotr ‘IzakOOO’ Skowyrski, were crowned champions after defeating Team Maikelele from Sweden 16-13 in the first game, and 16-8 in the second game of the Grand Final. The match-up was watched by 170,000 viewers on the ASUS ROG Twitch channel. For their efforts, Team izakOOO won a trip to Dreamhack Masters Las Vegas on 15th-19th February, 2017. Prior to that match, event hosts Pala ‘mantrusse’ Gilroy Sen and Lauren ‘Pansy’ Scott led the eight team captains — Mikail ‘Maikelele’ Bill (Team Maikelele), Michele ‘zonixx’ Kohler (Team zonixx), Yi ‘Luke’ Chun Tseng (Team Luke), Erik ‘fl0m’ Flom (Team fl0m), Willy ‘Skyyart’ Dias (Team Skyyart), Chad ‘SPUNJ’ Burchill (Team SPUNJ), Piotr ‘IzakOOO’ Skowyrski (Team IzakOOO) and Eric ‘adreN’ Hoag (Team adreN) — in the Captains Challenge. They played on the new ROG G752VS gaming laptops with 120Hz panels, and the match was watched by a 70,000-strong online audience.
