ASUS Announces P3B
Lightweight, battery-powered LED projector with ultra-short-throw lens and 800-lumen brightness
ASUS today announced the P3B ultra-short-throw battery-powered projector. This compact, lightweight projector provides crisp WXGA-resolution (1280 x 800) images with a maximum brightness of 800 lumens. An ultra-short-throw lens enables the P3B to project images measuring 25in (0.45m) to 200in (3.4m) at close range. A built-in rechargeable battery gives up to 3 hours of cable-free projection time and also doubles as a 12,000mAh power bank for charging mobile devices. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the P3B has a footprint the size of a CD case and easily fits in a briefcase or bag. The P3B recently won the 2015 Good Design Award thanks to its balance of performance and portability.
Bright, crisp projections
ASUS P3B has an 800 lumens light source and 100% NTSC color gamut to project exceptional WXGA 1280 x 800 images. The mercury-free Eco-LED light source has a 30,000-hour lifespan to cut down on bulb-replacement costs.
Lightweight and portable
The ultra-slim and compact P3B weighs just 750g, and measures just 153.5 x 43 x 131.2mm – giving it a desktop footprint similar to a CD case. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that provides up to 3 hours of cable-free projection time. This allows P3B to be used as power bank, with its 12,000mAh capacity giving users the ability to charge their mobile devices several times, even when the P3B is turned off. Like other ASUS LED projectors, P3B works with most ASUS notebook AC power adapters1. Having the notebook and projector share a single power adapter lightens the load for users, and gives them the ideal business presentation or multimedia combo.
Quick and convenient setup
The P3B
has an ultra-short-throw lens that can project images measuring from 12in (0.45m)
to 200in (3.4m) diagonally at close distances. This lets users turn any large
flat vertical surface into a display, and makes it ideal for presentations in
confined spaces or small meeting rooms.
A
flip-down stand lets users make height adjustments in an instant, saving them
lots of time compared to using traditional adjustable screw-stands. Auto
Keystone Correction provides perfect projections by detecting the P3B’s
orientation and automatically correcting distorted images from angled
projections. P3B has an Instant On/Off feature since there is no need for its
LED light source to warm up or cool down. P3B also has an ASUS
SonicMaster-enhanced speaker for exceptional high fidelity sound to deliver a
truly cinematic audio-visual experience.
Wi-Fi projection and extensive connectivity
ASUS P3B
has an optional Wi-Fi adapter for direct wireless connection to a notebook or Android
/ iOS mobile device. This removes the need for a video cable
connection, and allows users to stream their presentations, documents, and
multimedia files to the P3B wirelessly.
The P3B
features HDMI/MHL and VGA ports for maximum compatibility with PCs, notebooks,
mobile devices, and other multimedia sources. Users can also conduct
presentations or play videos without a PC by accessingdocuments and multimedia files stored in their
microSD or USB storage devices, as well as files saved in the internal 2GB
storage.
