TAIPEI, Taiwan, April 20, 2022 — ASUS today announced AMD Radeon™ RX 6400 graphics cards, optimized to provide an affordable and power-efficient choice for mainstream 1080p gaming rigs.
High resolutions and refresh rates may be the pinnacle of modern gaming, but 1080p is still the resolution of choice for most players today. Whether they are playing graphically intensive single-player games at 60 frames per second or competitive esports titles at 120 Hz and above, gamers need a card that can keep up.
The new Radeon RX 6400 is available in two flavors from ASUS: the ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6400 and the Phoenix Radeon RX 6400. The Dual variant, available now, uses two Axial-tech fans with barrier rings that direct airflow right to the heatsink, where it is needed most. 0db technology stops the fans entirely when the card reaches 52°C, giving users complete silence when not under an intense gaming load. Once gamers start fragging, the fans will spin up when GPU temperatures reach 60° C for quiet, performant cooling.
The ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6400 runs at a game clock of up to 2039 MHz1, boosting up to 2321 MHz to eke every bit of performance out of the GPU when circumstances allow. Meanwhile, 4 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 64-bit bus provide the essentials for FHD gaming, and one HDMI® 2.1 and one DisplayPort™ 1.4a port allow usage with any modern display or TV. An aluminum backplate keeps the card straight and stable while adding a premium bit of polish to a system, along with subtle lighting adding a touch more style to the geometric lines of the card’s shroud.
The Phoenix Radeon RX 6400 graphics card uses a similar design to its larger sibling, albeit with a more affordable one-fan implementation with no aluminum backplate or lighting. Both cards are also manufactured with our Auto-Extreme assembly process and rigorous 144-hour validation program to ensure these cards come out of the box ready to stand the test of time.
Built on the high-performance, energy efficient AMD RDNA™ gaming architecture, the new graphics cards feature high-bandwidth, low-latency AMD Infinity Cache™ memory technology and high-speed GDDR6 memory. They also support Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft DirectX® 12 Ultimate, AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) and AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) upscaling technologies, AMD Smart Access Memory™ technology, as well as other advanced features that provide visually stunning, high-refresh rate gaming experiences.
