ASUS Design Center Presents ROG: Break the Rules Exhibition at Taiwan Designers' Week 2015
Taipei, Taiwan (2nd October,
2015) — ASUS Design Center,
the award-winning design center within ASUS, is presenting the ROG: Break the
Rules exhibition at Taiwan Designers’ Week 2015, taking place from 2nd to 11th October,
2015 at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei. The exhibition showcases
the ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) design philosophy of constant evolution and breaking
of conventions to redefine possibilities. This philosophy enables ROG to produce
innovative gaming hardware that empowers gamers with leading performance, incredible
controls, and stylish design.
The exhibition takes visitors on a journey of
the evolution of ROG. It features stunning lighting effects, an interactive
creative installation, and a product-experience area with a unique, asymmetric
layout that reflects the latest ROG design elements. Visitors to Taiwan
Designers’ Week are invited to interact with the installation and products on
display to experience ROG innovation firsthand.
Break the Rules
The ROG: Break
the Rules exhibition at Taiwan Designers’ Week explores how ROG continually
redefines the rules of what is possible, only to break them in pursuit of
pushing the industry forward to empower gamers with the best-performing,
most-innovative gaming hardware. The centerpiece of the exhibition is Beyond, an
interactive creative installation that represents ROG’s thrilling new sensory
experiences and echoes the revolutionary liquid-cooling technology of the GX700
gaming laptop. The installation combines streams of water with musical patterns
to create mesmerizing shapes that change before the viewer’s eyes. Up to two visitors
can each take control of one of the water streams to create their own shapes.
As
visitors progress through the exhibition, the color theme gradually changes
from red and black to the new ROG colors of Plasma Copper, Armor Titanium, and
Lava Red, symbolizing the evolution of ROG to its current generation and the
breaking of previous design rules. At the end of the color transition, the
passageway opens up on a product-experience area showcasing the latest
generation of ROG gaming products, including the G752 and GX700 laptops, G20
compact desktop, Swift PG348Q monitor, Matrix GTX 980 Ti graphics card, and
various accessories. The products are displayed on a unique asymmetric platform
inspired by the new ROG designs and their bold redefinition of beauty. The
display also incorporates 3D projection-mapped animations of flowing Plasma
Copper colors and design sketches of the latest ROG products.
