Dual Use as Server or Workstation Motherboard with Flex-E Technology
Dual Use with Flex-E Technology
The ASUS Flex-E Technology provides the flexibility to auto-switch between 1 PCI-E x16 link (Graphic card supported) and 2 PCI-E x8 link (for I/O expansion), allowing the customers to use PCI-E link flexibly, which allows the P7F-E to work as a workstation motherboard or a serverboard.
The P7F-E allows customers to use optional MIO audio card, which will offer great sound quality to complement the robust video power—offering enhanced signal-to-noise ratio in a 7.1 surround channel setup to deliver exhilarating surround sound for professional and entertainment usage.
Multiple PIKE Solutions for Different Use
With the ASUS optional PIKE providing slim-sized and flexible storage options, direct SAS RAID upgrades can be achieved directly via a unique slot—without sacrificing expansion capability. The ASUS PIKE further provides customers with multiple I/O solutions and RAID functions. Users can choose PIKE 1064E, PIKE 1068E, PIKE 1078 and PIKE 6480 for their different use.
Optional ASMB4-iKVM Upgrade Kit for Easy Troubleshooting
The optional ASMB4-iKVM provides remote real-time full control access to the system based on BIOS-level by keyboard, video monitor and mouse (KVM over LAN and Serial over LAN) from any local computer with simple steps, and it is compatible with ASUS Z8 series & P7 series Serverboards which support ASMB4-iKVM.
Investment Protection
The P7F-E shares the same size chassis and power supply with ASUS last generation P5 series serverboards, users therefore only need to update their CPU, memory and motherboard for higher performance. The P7F-E is also design ready for next-generation 32nm Dual-Core CPU allows pain-less migration to Intel® new platform.
