      The RS924A-E6/RS8 delivers outstanding performance with up to four 4/8/12/16-core AMD OpteronTM 6200 series processors. There are also 32 DDR3 DIMM slots to support up to 512GB (RDIMM) memory. Furthermore, the ability to carry two double-deck graphics cards enables intense computing and graphics handling potential.


      Energy-saving with 1+1 80 PLUS Platinum level power supply

      Featuring a 1+1 80 PLUS Platinum level power supply module, the RS924A-E6/RS8 has power efficiency of up to 94%. The 1+1 power supply design makes hot swapping and real time maintenance easy without shutting down the server.


      High speed interconnection for HPC

      To meet the demands of data center, cloud computing, and HPC applications, the RS924A-E6/RS8 has a QFSP port at the rear panel to deliver high speed interconnection (40Gbps) from a built-in InfiniBand™ QDR chipset.


      Superior reliability with PIKE upgrade kit

      To improve storage capacity, the RS924A-E6/RS8 supports SATA or SAS hard drives and offers users complete RAID compatibility (together with PIKE) for data protection. The optional ASUS PIKE SAS2 6Gb/s upgrade kit provides cost-effective storage interface upgradability and the flexibility of multiple storage options.


      Real-time remote server management

      To improve server manageability, users can choose the ASMB5-iKVM module, which provides real time web-based management and remote system control (KVM-over-IP) from any local computer.
